  • Striking Women 2012

Come and join us in celebrating some extraordinary south Asian women, who fought hard against racial and gender discrimination at workplaces and left a mark in British labour rights movement.

In collaboration with University of Lincoln, University of Leeds and Arts and Humanities Research Council, we are hosting a exhibition to remind ourselves of two seminal industrial conflicts- Grunwick strike and Gate Gourmet dispute, which changed the way British industry and society looked at minority Asian workers, particularly women.

    Come and be inspired!
