Is domestic violence a thing of the past?
Is domestic violence ignored in India? How prevalent is it within the UK?
On Tuesday 16th November 2010, Nisha Shukla, AFP returned volunteer and solicitor, who supported AWAG (Ahmedabad Women’s Action Group) in Gujarat, India, and guest speaker, Sarbjit Ganger from Asian Women’s Resource Centre in London, shared their experiences of working within the field of domestic violence. It was a captivating event drawing on social and legal aspects of the issue in two very different countries.
